Yang Berhormat Pengiran
Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha was
appointed as Minister of Transport and Infocommunications on 7th June
2022.
He started his career with the Ministry
of Development in 1992 and was involved in policy development,
international relations as well as project development and management.
Pengiran
Dato Shamhary subsequently joined Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) in 2004.
In BSP, he held several leadership roles as Head of Environment, Acting
Head of HSSE, Corporate Operations Planner and Business Improvement
Manager. Apart from project planning and delivery his roles covered
corporate governance, strategy development as well as organization
transformation.
Later in 2013 Pengiran
Dato Shamhary assumed the role of Managing Director of Brunei Shell
Marketing (BSM) overseeing supply and distribution logistics as well as
the sales and marketing strategy of businesses that covers land, sea and
air sectors. Ensuring business sustainability and growth through
performance reliability, innovation and new businesses.
Prior
to his appointment as Minister, Pengiran Dato Shamhary was the Managing
Director of Brunei Gas Carriers (BGC), position he held from November
2020. He was accountable for operations reliability, local capability
development and formulation of the company’s future strategy.
